Labor Union Protests Alleged Wage Gap between Races, but Offers No Sources

A labor union claimed that the University of California-Berkeley paid their white employees more than their African-American employees, and organized a protest that blocked traffic. Students, labor union activists and professors participated in the demonstration organized by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. last week.

AFSCME made the claims, but did not identify their sources, which the university could not verify or confirm due to the lack of proper sourcing. The lack of sourcing did not stop the demonstration from happening, however.
