Princeton, NJ—24 July 2007—The
National Association of Scholars welcomes the 8-to-1 decision of the University
of Colorado’s Board of Regents to strip Ward Churchill of his tenured appointment
as a faculty member .

The Board’s decision came as the result of more than two years of investigation
into allegations of academic misconduct by the CU Boulder professor of ethnic
studies. Churchill, best known for his published statement comparing the victims
of the World Trade Center attack of 9-11 to “little Eichmanns,” was
found to have plagiarized, fabricated supposed research findings, and misrepresented
himself to the university.

Dr. Peter Wood
is the Executive Director of the National Association of Scholars. Located in Princeton, it has forty-six state
affiliates and five thousand professors, graduate students, administrators,
and trustees as members and associates.
