San Diego State University Student Government Voted to Keep Aztec Mascot

San Diego State University’s mascot is an Aztec warrior, but some alleged that it was an example of “cultural appropriation” (i.e. white culture assimilating aspects of native cultures, thereby insulting native cultures).

But, the student government disagreed with those claims and voted to keep the mascot.
