Ole Miss Keeps Softball Championship Game, decides NCAA

The University of Mississippi, known as Ole Miss, is going to remain as the host for the NCAA softball championship. The state chapter of the NAACP objected to Ole Miss hosting the title because the university still flies the Dixie flag (i.e. Confederate battle flag). But, the NCAA rules stated that the university has the right to host the title since their softball team earned it with their record, as The College Fix noted:

The NCAA has had a policy since 2001 that championships be kept out of states which display the Confederate flag; however, this applies to “pre-determined” events. The current championship was decided by softball teams’ performance, and as such Ole Miss earned the right to host the tourney.
