University of Tennessee Moves to Staff LGBT Pride Center after One Year Moratorium

A one-year moratorium was imposed by state lawmakers on the University of Tennessee-Knoxville due to controversial activities and activism (such as ‘Sex Week’ and inclusivity guidelines) by the university’s Pride Center. The university will hire a new director and will have to operate the center carefully, as lawmakers warned that any more controversies could lead to the removal of funding for another year.
