Pro-Traditional Marriage Student Group Survived Vote at Georgetown University

Love Saxa, a pro-traditional marriage student group on the campus of Georgetown University, survived a vote by the university’s student activities commission. The commission voted 8-4 in favor of Love Saxa for them to retain their student group status, which allows them to receive funding from the university.

The reason that Love Saxa was embroiled in controversy was that a LGBT group asked the commission to strike the student group status of Love Saxa due to fostering intolerance and hatred for their views.

The irony is that Georgetown University is an alleged Catholic higher education institution, where Catholics believe in traditional marriage.
