NFL’s Miami Dolphins Offers Students Grants to Study Social Justice
Social justice is the new buzzword for community activism. The National Football League’s Miami Dolphins franchise offers social justice grants and scholarships to Miami-area students who have at least a 3.0 GPA. In their press release, the Dolphins required that applicants complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service in social justice programs in high school, in addition to an essay submission.
What is the topic of the essay? The question for the scholarship essay is the following:
“What social justice change do you want to see in your community and how will this scholarship help you achieve that change?”
The application deadline is February 28, 2018.
