Realities of Communism 101

Those students who profess a fond view of communism when polled should educate themselves a bit, short of going through the experience Otto Warmbier had.

The North Korean defector who sat in on the State of the Union address as one of the president’s guests, offers a vivid recollection of his escape from North Korea to non-communist South Korea. “When I was in North Korea, I dug through the trash but struggled to find food,” Ji Seong-hohe said. “In South Korea, I found trash cans full of food.”

“I thought, what has my life been? Is my life worth less than trash?”
