Man’s Race to Go to Mars is an Example of ‘Male Entitlement’

NBC News’ website has a section called ‘Think,’ which is typically populated by left-leaning opinion editorial pieces. This time, a Stanford professor from the university’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research, Marci Bianco, wrote a piece criticizing the race to Mars as being one of “male entitlement.” The headline reads, “Marcie Bianco The patriarchal race to colonize Mars is just another example of male entitlement.”

The author then compared Elon Musk, one of the corporate leaders dedicating resources and money to this new space race, to Christopher Columbus and white men seeking to benefit from these achievements.
