Memorial Day: A Day to Remember and Observe

As we observe Memorial Day today, we at Accuracy in Academia want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all those who served or are serving in America’s military branches. Their sacrifice cannot be adequately expressed in words, but we are deeply grateful for their continuing sacrifice to serve our nation.

As President Ronald Reagan said, “the United States and the freedom for which it stands, the freedom for which they died, must endure and prosper…Their lives remind us that freedom is not bought cheaply.” He made those remarks in 1982 while he observed Memorial Day, during the Cold War, which is a poignant reminder of how freedom can be won.

We remember the fallen, but also those currently serving. We hope you have a good and memorable Memorial Day today.
