Graduate Teaching Assistant Separated Gun Owners from Rest of the Class, is Later Reassigned
A graduate student at the University of Utah was reassigned from teaching assistant responsibilities after the student separated gun owners from the rest of the class in the classroom. An anonymous student sent the syllabus, which detailed this separation policy in the classroom, to a state representative. The syllabus and outrage made its way to the university administration, and the graduate student was removed from teaching assistant responsibilities and underwent training on school policies.
Utah is a red state, politically speaking, and the University of Utah allows legal gun owners to carry a firearm with a permit.
