Ohio University Student Senator Arrested for Hate E-mail Hoax

A student senator named Anna Ayers was arrested for creating false alarms of anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiment via hate e-mails, which she sent to herself. She had sent herself hateful messages and then went public about these messages, claiming it shows there are discriminatory people in the world and on the college campus.

But, she was charged by police for false alarms, punishable by six months jail time and a $1,000 fine.
