Here’s a mouthful: The Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment at the University of Southern California sponsored a monthlong celebration of “Body Love Month” during the month of October. The Facebook event for the event noted that this was to celebrate “an intersectional approach to Body Love that focuses on people of color, people with visible and invisible disabilities, people with mental illnesses, people from working class backgrounds, queer ppl, womxn, and transgender, nonbinary and non-gender conforming folx.”

Also, some of the events included a makeup class for transgender individuals, along with those who do not claim a specific gender (known as “non-binary”). One other event goes over how “menstruation and environmentalism go hand in hand.”
