‘Social Justice Month’ at Connecticut University Defined ‘Racial Justice’ as Redistributing Power and Resources
November, or last month, was ‘Social Justice Month’ at Southern Connecticut State University. As a part of the celebration, the topic of ‘racial justice’ was addressed. However, the definition of racial justice sounded eerily similar to socialism. Here is what racial justice meant to event organizers:
“…[A] process where power and resources are redistributed so that people of color have equal access, opportunities, and treatment leading to equitable outcomes for all. It is the disruption of our current systems which maintain white supremacy.”
