A Public Affairs Diversity Alliance has been announced and launched by six schools: American University, Syracuse University, University of Michigan, Duke University, University of Southern California, and the University of Washington. The American University’s School of Public Affairs will chair the alliance for two years, and each alliance member will hire two visiting scholars or postdoctoral fellows for a year, while appointing an internal and an external mentor for networking and promotional purposes. This alliance seeks to create a “pipeline” of faculty candidates in criminal justice, policy and public administration.
