Controversial Teaching Assistant at Georgia Defended by Workers’ Union over ‘White People May Have to Die’ Remark

We reported on this previously, when the University of Georgia became embroiled in controversy when one of its teaching assistants, Irami Osei-Frimpong told students that “some white people may have to die for black communities to be made whole in this struggle to advance to freedom.” Now, Osei-Frimpong has at least one defender, which is the university chapter of the United Campus Workers of Georgia.
