A ‘Hawaiian Day’ Party at University of South Dakota Deemed Offensive, Changed to ‘Beach Day’

In the name of “cultural appropriation,” or when non-minority Americans dress as those from other cultures, administrators at the University of South Dakota law school said a “Hawaiian Day” celebration by the student bar association was inappropriate. Instead, the party theme was changed to “Beach Day.”
