Taser Incident at Cal-Berkeley Upsets Students
Two police officers from the University of California-Berkeley responded to a call about someone being in possession of a taser on March 8. Considering that tasers are banned on campus property, the officers tried to take the taser, but the student suspect resisted and led to a scuffle.
The university’s Black Student Union called the incident an example of racial profiling, while the police chief went to students to discuss the incident.
