Johns Hopkins University Students Chain Themselves to Stairs in Campus Building to Protest ICE, Police
Johns Hopkins University is a private university in Baltimore, Maryland, which city has seen significant issues regarding the city police’s relationship with city residents. Students decided to take action by chaining themselves to a staircase in Garland Hall until the administration meets with them to hear their demands. Specifically, the students do not like the university’s private police force and its contracts with the Immigration, Customs and Enforcement (ICE) agency.
