University of Colorado-Colorado Springs Settles with Christian Student Group over Choosing Group Leaders

Back in November 2018, the Christian student group, Ratio Christi, faced off against the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs over the group’s belief that it could select its own leaders, independent of the administration’s views. But, the administration believed that the group discriminated against non-Christians in selecting their leaders.

Now, after six months of litigation, Ratio Christi has the ability to choose its own leaders based on the group’s religious and political beliefs. The group settled with the university and the university agreed to pay $20,500 in legal fees. A Christian legal defense group, Alliance Defending Freedom, represented the student group.
