Virginia State University has Vague Wording of “Public Morals” in Handbook
Virginia State University, a historical black university (known as HBCU, or historical black college and university) located south of Richmond, Virginia in the city of Ettrick, has a “disorderly conduct” policy in their student handbook. Upon further analysis, the policy prohibits student organizations from engaging in activities which “disturbs the peaceful campus environment, offends public morals, or undermines public safety.” The vague wording of it could cause problems down the road.
