Anti-Military Career Day?

Jamesville-DeWitt High School
administrators have decided that permitting the left wing group “Peace Council” to protest military recruiters at their school during
their Career Day represents good and fair minded educational policy.

The School’s Career Day is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April
13, where a number of invited employers will send
representatives to talk to future graduates about career opportunities.
But there is one guest of the school who will also be in attendance
that is not an employer. No, the Peace Council’s “counter-recruiters”
have been allowed to cast aspersions on the U.S. Military
representatives there in an attempt to dissuade students from talking
with them by handing out anti-military propaganda.

The Peace Council is a radical left wing organization that, among
things, promotes the notion that the military fosters an atmosphere
conducive to rape and it has no legitimate business to conduct at the
school. Indeed, by virtue of this political group’s admittance to this
event by the school, the administration seems to be sending a message to
the students that the military is not a worthy or honorable
career choice.
