Abortion on Demand Reconsidered

One strong advocate the casualties of the pro-choice agenda have is the ever-present pro-life movement. These activists oppose the legalization of abortion while offering pregnancy counseling. “Real freedom is never death.” Kristan Hawkins, the executive director of Students for Life, said recently at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “We only have the rest of our lives to end abortion.” Charmaine Yoest, the head of American United for Life, saw encouraging signs of progress during the past years, noting that the movement is “maturing and becoming more sophisticated.”

Fellow activist, Carrie Gordon Earll, the director of Focus on the Family Action, noted that their latest endeavor, the pro-life tv commercial featuring the University of Florida’s quarterback Tim Tebow during the Superbowl, was the first of many steps to expand the pro-life audience. She noted that over 82 million people saw the ad during the Superbowl, resulting in a surge in traffic to their website and an increase in views of their other pro-life oriented media. The ad was merely the first step in their campaign to spread the message of hope and life. In addition, UCLA student activist Lila Rose, president of Live Action, a pro-life nonprofit group “dedicated to building a culture of life. She spoke about their mission, “opening the coffin of abortion” which involves exposing the manipulation and medical miscommunication that is prevalent throughout the abortion industry. Her latest endeavor, the Mona Lisa Project, seeks to expose the sexual abuse cover up that the abortion industry endorses.
