American Enterprise Institute fellow Steven F. Hayward will discuss his epic chronicle of the presidency of America’s 40th chief executive at Accuracy in Academia’s next author’s night on November 5, 2009. The free event will feature a complimentary pizza and salad buffet @ Armand’s on Capitol Hill (226 Massachusetts Ave., NE) from 6-8 PM.
“American presidents of both parties, all too often, need to be appreciated at a distance,” AIA executive director Mal Kline wrote in his review of Hayward’s The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counterrevolution 1980-1989. “Of the 20th Century chief executives, perhaps only Ronald Reagan holds up well under scrutiny.”
