Animal Law at Georgetown
Truly, ‘bless the beasts’ has taken on a whole new meaning in Catholic higher education. On April 8, the Environmental Law Society and the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund at Georgetown Law sponsored “a lunch to discuss the Experiential Animal Law Class at Georgetown—Fall ’08.”
“Professor Jonathan Lovvorn, Vice-President of Animal Protection Litigation at the Humane Society of the United States will give an introduction to the rapidly growing field of animal law litigation and will discuss the exciting hands-on opportunities offered by the Animal Protection Seminar,” the flyer promised. Unfortunately, this correspondent was down the street dining with progressives so he missed not only the seminar but also “Julia’s empanadas + homemade vegan cookies.”
Yummy.
