Elon, Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill are not really fans of the new North Carolina law, signed by Governor Pat McCrory, which allows people’s privacy will be protected in public bathrooms.
Why, you’d ask? Because the universities want to help create start-ups that will stay in the area close to the university and help boost the local economy (not to mention the university’s bottom line).
