Brokeback High
I recently told you about a Chicago teacher who indoctrinated her sixth grade students with homosexuality by forcing them to watch the movie “Brokeback Mountain” during class without parents’ knowledge or consent. The film, which tells the story of two homosexual ranchers, is rated “R” for nudity and sexuality.
You may also recall the continuing case in Lexington, Massachusetts where school officials told the Parker family they had no right to be notified in advance of pro-homosexual kindergarten lessons. Now a high school in Boulder, Colorado has been caught promoting drug use, sexual promiscuity, and deviance to students as young as 14 in a general assembly.
Guest speaker Joel Becker allegedly told kids, “I’m going to encourage you to have sex–men with men, women and women, whatever combination you would like–and encourage you to use drugs.” Although school officials insist they are investigating, the frequency of these outrages should alarm families.
Clearly, the promotion of immoral and unhealthy behavior among impressionable children occurs more often than public school advocates would like to admit. This should serve as yet another reason why Congress should endorse school choice for families and empower parents to protect their children’s innocence.
