BYU Faces LGBTQ Backlash For Reinforcing Principles

The March-April 2024 issue of Campus Report covers BYU’s response to LGBTQ criticism, anti-DEI efforts at the University of Wyoming, and a grant for applying CRT to the Classics. BYU faces backlash for upholding its traditional values regarding marriage and sexuality, with critics misrepresenting a 2021 speech as hateful and inciting violence. The University of Wyoming’s DEI office faces defunding, but the governor’s veto allows DEI programming to continue through federal grant loopholes. Meanwhile, two Ivy League professors receive a $1 million grant to apply CRT to the study of Classics, further demonstrating the Left’s commitment to injecting “woke” ideology into academia.
