College Democrats at DC University Promote Fundraiser for Pro-Abortion Organization Planned Parenthood

Students are George Washington University, based in Washington, D.C., are typically liberal and not conservative by any stretch of the imagination. This past week, the university’s College Democrats pushed a fundraising event for the pro-abortion organization Planned Parenthood on their college campus.

The university’s student government guidelines do not explicitly bar student groups from using student government funds for fundraising for non-university causes and candidates, but it does state that these funds can’t be used “as a direct monetary or in-kind contribution to a candidate seeking elected office in an off-campus election.”

A source told Campus Reform that the fundraiser raised $4,000 for Planned Parenthood.
