Columbus Smeared in South Bend

Those who want to tarnish the legacy of Christopher Columbus, but rarely take the time to find out what it is, have come up with a new way to libel him at the South Bend museum, not far from Notre Dame. “The museum treats the ramifications of Christopher Columbus’voyages to the New World in an evenhanded way,” Andrew Kuiper writes in The Imaginative Conservative. “But this December, a protest banner was unfurled in secret at the Notre Dame library that characterized the great explorer as ‘KKKolumbus,’ conflating him with White Supremacists.”
