Delaware State University banned students from throwing snowballs because it’s dangerous and violent, per its administration. It is listed in the student affairs handbook equal to being in the shower areas of members of the opposite sex and threatening other students with violence or intimidating them.

The reason behind the decision is that some students have allegedly thrown snowballs in residential halls and snowballs that are icy.
