Do Less Work + More Pay= Academic Berth?

Parents working more than one job, and shift, to send their children to college might be surprised to find an inverse amount of effort on the other side of their tuition. “We find that within departments the highest-paid faculty teach fewer undergraduates and fewer undergraduate courses than their lower-paid colleagues,” the National Bureau of Economic Research reported last year.
