Dorm Hall Display at Santa Clara University Calls on Students to ‘S-Know Your Whiteness”

Santa Clara University had a display in one of their dorm halls that warns white students to know how to “understand your privilege” and to use this “privilege” to call out racial microaggressions. The use of “privilege” refers to the academic term of “white privilege,” which claims that white people are privileged in American and Western society due to their history of being in power, and all subsequent events emanate from this seizure and exercise of power by white people.
