Erosion of Democracy 101
That’s the name of a course, even a curriculum, that is sweeping the country. “The course has been developed by Robert Balir, an assistant professor of political science at Brown University,” Martin Kich informs us on the academe blog maintained by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP).
Blair’s specialty, according to Kich, is “post-conflict security in Africa.” So he’s developing a course on eroding democracy when he specializes in a continent that has never known democracy.
