George Washington University Students Again Push to Divest from Israel
The student association at the Washington, D.C-based George Washington University are again pushing to divest school investment funds that may be associated with supporting the state government of Israel. Last year’s attempt failed over lack of attention to detail, when students were not sure if the university invested in companies that have ties to the Israeli government.
The student resolution claimed that the university has a moral obligation to oppose investment in Israel, which pro-Israel students at the university disagree with that argument.
