Boise, ID – Students at Boise State will host a lecture next week to raise awareness about Global Warming and the myths surrounding it.
The speaker for this lecture will be given by Christopher Horner on Tuesday, May 6th, at 7:00 PM in the Hatch Ballroom of the Boise State Student Union Building. Christopher Horner is a New York Times bestselling author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at CEI, The Competitive Enterprise Institute, a non-profit public policy organization dedicated to advancing the principles of free enterprise and limited government. Horner is also an attorney in Washington, DC and has represented CEI as well as scientists and members of the U.S. House and Senate on matters of environmental policy in the federal courts including the Supreme Court. In 2005, Cristina Narbona, Spain’s Socialist Environment Minister, referred to Horner as “the devil” for demonstrating to audiences in Spain and other European Union nations how Europe is failing to meet its obligations under the Kyoto Protocol and why Europeans should abandon the doomed process.
The lecture is free to the public; doors will open one hour early. It is also cosponsored by the Boise State Conservative Student Coalition, Network of Enlightened Women, College Republicans, and the Young America’s Foundation.
