HOLIDAY CHEER?

A student publication at a college in Kelowna, British Columbia reported that a local shoe store has an unusual holiday display this year, featuring a Christmas tree with “ornaments” that resemble bags of cocaine, and a reindeer sniffing white powder, alongside a razor blade and rolled up dollar bill, according to DefendingChristmas.com.

In case people passing by the store still don’t get it, the storefront window has a message reading, “Ho, ho, ho, let it blow.” Residents are like Paul Barrett are understandably up in arms. Barrett called it “appalling” that a store where families with children pass by on a regular basis would place such an overtly pro-drug message in plain sight. Plus, he added that the display certainly didn’t have much to do with its primary objective, which should be to sell shoes.
