Indigenous People’s Day Dissed

Political activists at Scripps College made the mistake of scheduling an anti-Kavanaugh rally on Monday, then sheepishly had to postpone it. Not because it was Columbus Day, perish the thought, but a day of remembrance more politically correct to them. As reprinted in The Claremont Independent, the organizers of the rally stated that ““We want to deeply apologize for scheduling this event on the same day as the 2nd annual Indigenous People’s Day.”

“Monday is a day for indigenous and non-indigenous allies to stand in solidarity and acknowledge the genocidal mission system that enslaved and killed 80% of Natives living on this land. Additionally, We stand in solidarity with the 5100 missing and murdered indigenous people.”
