Judge Rules Oregon High School Violated First Amendment Rights of Student over Trump Wall T-Shirt

Who would’ve thought that a t-shirt would’ve led to a lawsuit in Oregon?

At Liberty High School, student Addison Barnes wore a t-shirt that said, “Donald J. Trump Border Wall Construction Co.” and “The Wall Just Got 10 Feet Taller.” At least one other student complained to a schoolteacher, and the assistant principal informed Barnes to cover the words on his shirt.

Barnes complied, and the assistant principal then had the school resource officer remove Barnes from class and informed him that he would face a ten-day suspension over the shirt due to his “defiance.”
