Kinda Late? Professors say Super Bowl Ads were ‘Assaults on Trumpian Ideology’

Considering the 2017 Super Bowl took place in February 2017, it seems late to make this point in a published article in August 2017, doesn’t it?

Also, didn’t the initial reaction from viewers asset this at the time, not needing an article from professors six months after-the-fact?

“In 2017, the Super Bowl’s focus on consumption and advertising connected the nation’s newest holiday to highly charged political dialogues in the United States,” Penn State kinesiology professors Peter Hopsicker and Mark S Dyreson assert in a recent article for The International Journal of the History of Sport.
