Local School Board Member Resigns after Suggesting Assassination of President Trump’s Twitter Account

A school board member in Knoxville, Iowa resigned after news broke that he suggested an assassination of President Donald Trump’s Twitter account, when it had been interpreted by authorities to hint at an assassination attempt. Michael Helle had allegedly wrote a post on Facebook about how President Trump’s Twitter account needs to be neutralized and be taken to a trip to Ford’s Theater, a possible allusion to an assassination attempt.

Helle claimed it was taken out of context, but it stands as an example of being careful of what one posts on social media.
