From the Center for Security Policy:

CENTER PRESIDENT CALLS FOR GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY TO REPUDIATE PROFESSOR WHO DEFENDS SLAVERY, MISOGYNY

Last week Georgetown University professor Jonathan AC Brown made the startling pronouncement at the International Institute on Islamic Thought, where he condoned and rationalized slavery and rape.  Brown claimed, “It is not immoral for one human to own another human” and that “Consent isn’t necessary for lawful sex.”

Brown teaches Islamic Studies and serves as the executive director of Georgetown’s Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding.

In a letter to Georgetown’s president, Center for Security Policy president, Frank Gaffney calls for action against these supremacist and misogynistic remarks and asks the school to make a public renunciation of Brown’s remarks and terminate his employment.
