Outgoing UC-Berkeley Chancellor Violated Rules, Used Free Perks for the Gym
The outgoing California-Berkeley chancellor, Nicholas Dirks, violated ethics rules for university administrators by accepting free perks related to the university’s gym. Rules dictate that administrators should not accept these free “perks.” The Los Angeles Times discovered this issue in one of their investigations.
The total amount for accepting free gym membership, meeting with a personal trainer and receiving equipment is $9,000.
