Pennsylvania number one in college debt

My home state racks up a dubious distinction. “One glaring example comes in a new study where Pennsylvania took the No. 1 national ranking for most college debt per student,” Joe Torsella, the state treasurer noted in an op-ed on Philly.com. “The average Pennsylvania graduate now leaves school with more than $35,000 in debt to go along with the diploma.”
