Reed College Student Activists Want Even More Changes in Humanities 101 Course

Despite getting what they originally protested for, disrupting classes and the like, the student activist group at Reed College, ‘Reedies against Racism,’ continue to protest the Humanities 101 course. For over a year and a half, the activists claimed the course was too Western civilization-centric, and gained some concessions such as teaching about Harlem in a later part of the curriculum.

Now, the activists claimed that the revised curriculum still emphasizes Eurocentric views, to which the college administration has not responded to.
