Resident Assistant Claims Fairfield University Mandated Posting of LGBT ‘Mixer’ Event

Fairfield University is a Jesuit (i.e. Catholic) university in Connecticut, and a resident assistant did object to posting a flyer for an event pushed by the university’s administration. The event was a ‘mixer’ (i.e. meet-up) for LGBT students.

The assistant objected due to the flyer apparently being in direct contrast to what the Catholic Church teaches, where homosexuality is a sin, since it may promote behavior that goes against Catholic teachings. But, due to the duties of a resident assistant, the student has to post whichever flyers and material sent to him by the administration.
