Sociology Professor Wants to Make ‘Racial Literacy’ a Mandatory Requirement

Daisy Verduzco Reyes, who teaches sociology at the University of Connecticut, wrote an article where she said colleges should make “racial literacy” a part of the mandatory curriculum requirements. Her reasoning is that “racial literacy” would help alleviate the stress that minority students face at colleges, such as ethnic identity.
