Campuses from across the country are going to get one more chance to show how unaware they are of the corruption of the so-called science surrounding the theory of global warming. “Today Environmental Defense Action Fund begins sharing its mic with college students through its Campus Video Challenge,” the EDAF announced on Good Friday. “For the next eight weeks EDAF is asking students from across the country to create short video clips calling on Congress to pass strong climate and clean energy legislation.”
“EDAF is reaching out to campus green leaders and club presidents across the country, from the University of Alaska Anchorage to University of South Florida, to encourage participation.” In a way, it’s appropriate that the group announced its competition on Good Friday: Global Warming is rapidly moving out of the world of the scientific and into the realm of the spiritual for true believers in the concept.
As such, they are in a grand tradition of progressives going back at least a century. As Teddy Roosevelt, not given to understatement, said when accepting the Progressive Party’s nomination for president in 1912, “We stand at Armageddon doing battle for the Lord.”
Environmentalists today would probably agree with the first part of that formulation.
