Support AIA through Planned Giving

By including Accuracy in Academia in your will, you help us to fight stifling leftist bias on our nation’s campuses for years to come.

The language in your will can be as simple as “I hereby give, devise and bequeath to Accuracy in Academia (AIA) (Tax ID# 52-1400302) of Bethesda, MD, the sum of $_______________.”  Or “I hereby give, devise and bequest to Accuracy in Academia (AIA) (Tax ID#52-1400302) of Bethesda, MD, all (or state a percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general support (or for the support of a specific fund or program).”

Because AIA is a non-profit charitable organization, your bequest is free of estate taxes.

You can also name AIA as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or your retirement plan (such as a 401(k), 403(b), IRA or other pension plan).  By naming AIA as a beneficiary, you maintain complete control over the plan while living, but at your passing the plan passes to AIA free of both income and estate taxes.

AIA can be named as a primary beneficiary for part or all of the assets in the plan, or as a contingent beneficiary, or as a beneficiary at the death of your surviving spouse.  Please ask your insurance agent, your employer or the financial institution managing your retirement plan for the proper forms.

Please consult with your personal financial advisor regarding the legal and tax benefits of all estate and planned gifts.

By making a bequest in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other assets, you will be investing in the continuation of AIA’s vital work to counter liberal indoctrination on our nation’s campuses.  If you choose to make this kind of gift, you will become a member of our Reed Irvine Legacy Society, which was established in 2005 to honor our founder and his pioneering work in the fields of media criticism, liberal bias in academia, and investigative journalism.

By including Accuracy in Academia in your estate plans, you will honor Reed Irvine’s vision that made AIA into such a powerful force for change and you will have a profound influence on future generations of students, including your grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Please contact AIA at 240-686-5964 (or email contact@academia.org) if you have any questions!
