Three Swarthmore College student activists traveled to Washington, D.C. and protested at the Trump hotel, attempting to disrupt an event hosted by the International Petroleum Association of American (IPAA), an oil association. The students were arrested for blockading the entrance to the hotel, which the students celebrated their achievement.

The students’ exploits were sent to the assistant director of the Dean’s office, Andrew Barclay, and then Barclay forwarded it to the college’s Class of 2020 students.

The students are a part of the college’s anti-fossil fuel student activist group called Sunshine Swarthmore.
